What Are Leads, Signups, Pre-Enrolles, Pre-Members, Conversions and Upgrades?
There can be a lot of confusion with all this terminolgy, especially when different MLM Programs use different terms.
Leads:
There are different types of leads, which we will explain. However, a lead is a person that has indicated an interest in something. It may or may not be an interest in a home business. Some unscrupulous lead supply companies trick a lot of people into filling out forms on the internet using incentives. For example they offer cheap hotels, cheap flight, free holidays, free cameras, free iPods. They collect the information and sell it many times over and over. Yes, its still a lead but next to worthless. If you try and contact these leads you run the risk of them being so fed up with being contacted that they will report you. You should always check how the leads were generated, how many times they are being sold and what do the leads think they will be contacted about. Definitely stay away from leads that are generated from free giveaways.
Good leads will have at least the following information: First Name, Last Name, Phone, Address, City, State, Zip, IP Address, Date Generated.
Signups / Pre-enrollees / Pre-members:
Many successful MLM Programs use a technique of forcing a visitor to the site to fill out a small form before letting the visitor proceed into the tour. The form usually consists of asking for their name, email address and phone number. Once a visitor has filled out this form they are given access to the tour. They are now referred to as a Signups, Pre-Enrolles or Pre-Members. They have not paid any money or given any credit card details yet. They have joined the program for free. The MLM Program will now generate a series of emails to send to the signups encouraging them to upgrade to fully paid member. You as their sponsor can also contact them and build a relationship. Investing in signups is a really great way to build your business. It couses a lot of excitement and can really get things going. We have had feedback from clients claiming up to 10% conversion from free signup to fully paid member.
Conversions & Upgrades:
When a Signup decides to pay the membership fee and become a fully paid up member of the MLM then they are now known as an Upgrade or a Conversion or a Paid Member. We do not provide upgrades although we do have a signup product where we guarantee a minimum number of paid upgrades. We know there are companies that claim to provide paid upgrades. BEWARE OF THEM. Ask to speak with 2 people that have had their orders fulfilled before trusting them. By the way, if you find a company that does really provide upgrades, please let us know about them, we have never found one. We guarantee a minimum number of upgrades because through experience we know the industry standard conversion rate, which is 1%. Most of our clients do much better than that.
Do I need An AutoResponder and How The Heck Does It Work?
If you have a reasonably large list of leads you probably will need an autoresponder. AutoResponders are pretty easy to work and all good ones have tons of tutorials and a lot even have video and audio lessons. To explain it simply: An autoresponder will send a series of email messages to your leads. It will send them at predetermined intervals. These intervals are set by you. Commonly it would send them a message every 3 days. The first thing you need to do after you have gotten yourself an autoresponder account is to set up the email messages. Most will allow you to have 25 messages. Then and only then, you will need to import your lead list. We always send our leads to our clients in what is known as a CSV file. The reason we do this is it is in the format that autorresponders like, so you will not need to do any technical file reformatting. How are the real-time leads generated ? We generate 80% of our leads via email drops to millions weekly with the other 20% coming from banners, popunders & links. None of the advertising we do contains ANY incentives to visit our landing pages nor to fill out the forms on the landing pages. The leads that do fill out our landing pages do so to see what types of online opportunities there are available to them. These methods of advertising redirect the customer to a lead generation form. After completing this form these prospects are then transmitted real-time into your system and given the option of taking the tour. If your program appeals to them they will upgrade. This percentage of upgrades is greatly increased with personal contact from you their sponsor.
When can I expect delivery ? Your Pre-enrollees (signups) will start being delivered within the next 3 working days. Although there may be some days when no Pre-enrollees are delivered, do not worry, this is normal and has to do with traffic volume fluctuations. It also can take up to 30 business days for all your leads to be delivered (if you have a larger order it could be longer). Our lead generation systems generally run 24/7 but have peak time of the day and days of the week. These will vary with seasons and holidays. Larger orders may at times receive higher amounts.
Why do many of your competitors deliver faster ? Although many lead companies will deliver your orders much faster, their methods of generation are usually much different. Most lead companies generate their business opportunity leads as an afterthought because the profit margins are not as high as other types of leads. The way this is done is they use some type of incentive for leads to fill out a survey. This survey will contain questions from many different angles so that they can use the lead for many different things. Most of the time the leads they generate are not aware that they are becoming a business opportunity lead until they receive an email that says welcome.

Do you have any type of quality control ? We have a variety of methods that we use for quality control of our leads. The first line is in our programming which handles the following steps for us.

The first step is that we verify that the email address is in the proper format

The second step is to verify the domain named in the email address (@hotmail.com) is a valid domain.

Phone Verification Quality Control - 5 Days per week 60-70 contact attempts are made by our staff. During these contacts we q/c the following.

Verification that the person filled out the form

Ask the leads what their interest level is in a home business on a scale of 1-10

Ask the leads if they have a credit/debit card or bank account

What is your Replacement Policy ? Please note that effective September 1st, 2004 we have started providing an overage of 10% on all real time orders to cover foreign leads (non usa/canada), or leads that are completely bogus (example Fred Flinstone, Tweety Bird). In addition, you may receive test data if our programmers are working on the system, however, if you do, we will replace these; simply send us an e-mail with how many replacements for programmer tests you are requesting.
What percentage of conversions can I expect ? Although we cannot guarantee how these will perform for you we have received feedback from clients about having conversion ratios up to 10%. Of course much of this has to do with timing, how appealing the program is, and the skill of the network marketer ! Standard Industry Conversion when just sitting in the auto responder sequence is 1% or less. With phone contact & an experienced marketer these conversion rates can go as high as 10%.
What if I get a Spam Complaint ? If you get a spam complaint please inform us as we have a copy of the server logs that show all the signups sent to your ID with the IP address of the signup.
How can I tell which leads came from you ? When you place an order with us there is usually a lead identifier that carries thru to your back office. Also, you now have the opportunity to receive each lead as it is generated to your email *(see email question below).
How do I get my leads ? If you log into your contact manager you will see all of the people that signed up underneath you these are generally delivered real-time.
Why am I not getting a copy of my leads via email ? In some cases your mail host may block emails with certain words. To avoid this if you have a free email account like hotmail or yahoo we suggest you use those. Also if you follow the instructions on this link you should not have any trouble receiving email from us
What is your refund policy ? We do not refund (unless you are a first time client) once your order has been placed as the process is then under way to generate your leads. Any refunds requests must be approved an may take up to 14 days to process.
